About Us

After years of tape based online editing at NYC post production facilities and TV Networks and a variety of remote sporting events, Glue Editing & Design was started in 1998 by Emmy Award-winning editor Ken Sirulnick with one Avid Symphony in his living room.

2 years later, while the client base quickly grew, Ken partnered with Emmy Award-winning editor Steve Pequignot, to continue building the Glue brand and offer more finishing and editing services to clients, including being one of the first to offer remote Avid Symphony systems to ESPN for live sporting events and also built a 5.1 ProTools sound editing and mixing room to make Glue a one stop shop. With the later addition of Jordan Thompson-DeSon as Post Production Coordinator and a solid roster of freelance sound mixers, Glue has continued to be a major force in the NYC post production community for documentaries, indie films, music videos, TV series, corporate video, art installations and just about any type of audio visual medium imaginable.

After a long and successful career, Steve eventually retired from the business (his tennis game and BBQ skills continue to improve!) and our lease at our long time facility in Chelsea ended. In 2019, Glue Editing & Design teamed up with Goldcrest Post NY where we are extremely fortunate to be able to offer our clients even more high end services and continue to keep up with ever changing technologies and remote workflows.

As always we are happy to consult with filmmakers about workflows and shooting formats to help ensure a much smoother process during post. And it's always a good idea to discuss these things as early as possible. In fact, it's great to decide on a workflow before editing begins, and even better to figure it out before shooting your first frame of footage.

Feel free to contact us — we'll be happy to answer any questions you have or give you a tour of our facility.
